Past Project • Handcrafted for a Client

"Kathy" 48"x72" 100 Yr Old Live Oak Table

This table was made from Live Oak logs that were hand split to build a log cabin around 100 Years ago.   This is the only reason I decided to built with these logs.  Live Oak is very difficult to build furniture from since it take a very long time to cure.  I figured 100 years was probably enough.  Each board had to be milled and then filled with epoxy separately before they could be joined together to make the table.

She has a metal frame like all our tables and sits on customary wood corner legs.

 

This one will be almost impossible to duplicate.
